I recall one name on the cartoon and one on the tv show.
the cartoon song went "Dr. Bruce Banner.....something something gamma rays..."
but he was David on the tv show.

YES!!!!! Good for you!!!

Howard stole it from a great comedy. I thought it was immensely popular, but no one seems to be getting it. It was said by a guy in a deep voice; the man was a sidekick.

I think he does not have a name.
actually...
A long-running gag on the show was never to reveal the character's name, with other characters referring to him as "Comic Book Guy." In a May 2002 interview with Wizard, Matt Groening mentioned that "the name that I have for Comic Book Guy is Louis Lane." Finally, in the February 6, 2005 episode, "Homer and Ned's Hail Mary Pass," CBG nonchalantly told Ned Flanders, "My name is Jeff Albertson, but everyone calls me 'Comic Book Guy'." Showrunner Al Jean remarked, "That was specifically done to make people really mad. We just tried to pick a generic name. It was also the Super Bowl show, so we did it so the most people possible would see it. People on the Internet are going, 'Why did they name him? Comic Book Guy was so much cooler!'"

Excellent quiz!
It sucks that I came in too late to guess any of them, not to mention that I would have only known "Hey Now" as Howard Stern and probably the Incredible Hulk!!!
Not to mention that if I didn't get the right show it would have been considered wrong... am I right? lol
