Thanks to Jason :) I am now able to present you a very small tryout quiz.

#7 is a possible. I'm quite confident you don't know the others (well, except maybe #10).
As I said, this is/was a tryout quiz. I don't really expect it to be finished (in fact, there's at least three songs that are really obscure.).

Dang, I thought that one sounded familiar. Did Derek B ever become a star outside of the 80s? The Bad Young Brother with a Good Groove was maybe a one album wonder?

Hiya Henk - tryout is working OK for me :)!
I'm not sure about this but #7 sounds a little bit like 2 Unlimited ??? ?
It's not "No Limit" so my guess would be the only other hit of theirs I can remember which was "Let The Beat Control Your Body".

Which is totally wrong (but that shouldn't come as a surprise).
The band in question is Spanish, the song dates from 1982. The only other song I know of was a 1974 release called "Woman". Band leader was Fernando Arbex, also producer of the hit singles for Middle Of The Road.
The band name is a slightly misspelt biblical name (see Luke 23: 18 for instance). ::)

It's not 2 Unlimited, but it is Dutch, so you're pretty close. The people behind this project (Wessel van Diepen and Dennis van den Driesschen) went on to create the Vengaboys subsequently. This project has a Japanese ring to it.

I can do you 0.5 more, Henk (after which, I'm finished! :-[)
#5. 'Love Come Down' is the song, but this certainly ain't Evelyn King singing it...

There's nothing to be ashamed of, Paul. I don't think any of the remaining songs charted in UK (heck - some didn't even chart in the Netherlands! ;D)
The singer is better known for his 1970s work, like "Sideshow" (which I believe was quite a success in UK). He also teamed up with Ruddy Thomas to record a cover of "Reflections Of My Life", though that one may be a bit obscure.

That's all I need to know...Barry Biggs
(Good heavens! He could murder a classic or two!)

It helps to not know the original. ;)
"Love Come Down" hit the #5 spot in Dutch Top 40 in 1983.

I've added some HINTS.
Not that I think this quiz will get finished (I only posted it to see if it was working). ;)

Well, it was only a tryout quiz... ;)
Here's what's left:
03: This band is better know for their hit record "Titles".
Life Is For Living - Barclay James Harvest
06: A 1982 song from a Spanish band with 1970s successes ("Woman", "Mad Love", "Mellow Blow" and "Desperately" all did well in clubs and/or on radio stations in US).
On The Road Again - Barrabas
07: Wessel van Diepen and Dennis van den Driesschen before they created the Vengaboys. Project name sounds Japanese.
Children Of The Night - Nakatomi
08: A song from my Top 50 Most Favourite Songs. Band name is also an English county.
If You Were Here - Kent
