Subject: Remakes: An Audio Quiz (killed)
Written By: Windbreaker05 on 03/18/06 at 3:52 am
Hello again folks! I'm pleased with the response to my first audio quiz, so I thought I would try another one. All of the songs used here are remakes (with one exception - see bonus questions). Give the title and the artist. No cheating. Have fun!
Initial limit = Three (3) excluding the bonus questions (no limit for these)
Note: You don't actually have to give the original artists on these, but you are welcome to do so.

Hi Andrew :)
Is No. 2 TAKE THAT - 'Could it be Magic' (D Summer/B, Manilow)
No 3. THE PET SHOP BOYS - 'Where the Streets' Have No Name' (U2)
No 23. BRONSKI BEAT - 'Don't Leave Me This Way.' (Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes/Thelma Houston)
I'd do more but the clips take an age to download on my pc

Though I recognize most of the songs in this quiz, I have trouble naming the artists... :-\\
And I see the ones I knew are already taken, though I'd like to point out that #3 is actually a double cover version. Pet Shop Boys combined Where The Streets Have No Name with Can't Take My Eyes Off You.

Hello whistledog, great quiz and a couple of really good cover versions that I spotted here:
#4 is Jimmy Cliff's "The Harder They Come", covered by the excellent Joe Jackson
#11 is "Hold Back The Night" by Graham Parker and The Rumour - whatever happened to him eh? I can't remember who originally recorded this :(.

You've got them both! Don't worry, the original artists aren't required :) #11 was recorded earlier by The Trammps - I think they're the original, but I wouldn't swear to that
