Hi holicman...you didn't put a limit on it, so I'll have three if I may...
#1. 'Bend Me Shape Me' - Amen Corner/American Breed
#8. 'Sky Pilot' - Eric Burdon & The Animals
#10. 'Hurdy Gurdy Man' - Donovan
The common theme?
Well, I've got a pretty good idea, but I'll let someone else have a crack!

23 Judy in Disguise - can't remember the artist.
16 Wet, Wet, Wet. I can hear the song but can't recall the title edited to add Love is all Around.
Possibly, since Wet,Wet,Wet aren't the original artists, the theme is something to do with cover versions?

I'm sure someone would've got it by now...
#2. 'I Say A Little Prayer' - Dionne Warwick, but I prefer Aretha Franklin's version...

Common thread?
They were all hit songs from the year which included the assassinations of Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy...student riots in Paris...Russian tanks rolling into Prague...
...and I was still in nappies!
The year...1968
