Hi Amanda!
Now here's a first for me! I can't believe I'm actually the first person to respond and know three answers! :D
Both Shocking Blue (4) and Frankie Avalon (15) recorded a song called Venus.
Both Cliff Richard (2) and Europe (10) recorded a song called Carrie.
Both Starship (9) and Fleetwood Mac (17) recorded a song called Sara.
So the connection would be song titles with girls names.
Is that what you're looking for? ???

Hmmm....can't figure out any of the ones that haven't been taken yet. :-\\ But I am working on another quiz of my own, with the artists already paired/grouped (like I did before).
Modified to add: Ah...I see that the common song titles are people's names. Still stumped. :-\\

Heh! What a plank! It's only just dawned on me that they're all names...I never read these quiz titles half the time!
So hopefully this should be alright...

Check 1-2 was fronted by one Craig McLachlan, who also did a somewhat questionable version of the Stones 'Mona' ::) :)

Aye! Remember that well...I think he was the 'female fodder' in 'Home And Away', riding on the musical success of a certain couple of other Aussie soap stars of the time...

Paulie, he was the female fodder in 'Neighbours', but no difference really, it was simply crap by another name ;)
