Hi Rhonda!
I'm not exactly sure what time the board came back online, but it was here when I checked this morning (my time). :)

20. Kiss & Say Goodbye--Manhattans
#20 is correct, and #14 is close enough that I'll give it to you. It's "San Francisco (Be Sure To Wear Flowers In Your Hair)" by Scott McKenzie. ;)

okay, i don't know if checking your own vinyl collection is cheating, but the moody blues song is called "voice" that drove me crazy. i love that whole album and when i read the lyric i just went for the most popular song without thinking it through!

Hi kairi!
No, I wouldn't consider looking through your collection 'cheating'. I'm referring to people who have no idea what the song/artist is and just type the lyric into 'Google'. That is something that anybody could do, and it just takes the fun out of the game for others who may have known the lyric off the top of their head. :)
That aside, "The Voice" is indeed the song I was looking for....but, if you'll go up a couple of posts, you'll see that Gaylon has already jumped in with the answer.... :-\\
Any chance you may know any of the others remaining?

Hi again, Karen...
Ooo, #11. was driving me mad, I tell you...!! Like (the other) karen, I kept creeping back to 'Amazing Grace' (whether I wanted to or not...) the lyrics are very similar...
But I finally got my head 'round it...another old 'soul/disco' favourite...
#11. 'Never Knew Love Like This Before' - Stephanie Mills
