The common title is one word, which begins with an S and ends with an R. One of the artists is a 70s-80s band from Illinois; the other artist is a solo performer; her name -- which ends with a vowel -- is toward the bottom of the list. (Note: Elvis also had a song with this name, but he's not on the list.)

* A country singer on the list had a hit in 1999 that shares its one-word title with that of a 2004 song by a rocker who has been on the music scene a while. Both singers are female, and are even-numbered on the list.

* A 2001 hit by a British rock band shares its title with that of a 2003 song by a performer whose name is a color. I hope you don't have too much "Trouble" finding these.

* A rapper known by his first name (although I put his full name on the list) had a song that shares its three-word title with a 60s song. Also see page 383 of "Link The Songs". I don't mean to put so many links to other messages, but some of the pairs happen to occur there.
