Subject: A different sort of quiz, hoar low fur
A different sort of quiz, inspired by these nonsense lyrics... to make it simpler, all these are Beatles songs. What you have to do is translate the clue into something that sounds like a song title...
For example (and this is a bit more complicated than most of the ones below):
Nasty sight of funeral car - go brown with noise belonging to them
=Eyesore / hearse / tan / din / their
...obviously "I saw her standing there"
If I get too many complaints that it's too hard, I'll add some clues
Clues are in green
1. A name I call myself, what a snail carries on his back
Me Shell=Michelle Tao
2. Consumed little flower for seven days
Ate Daisy Week=Eight Days a Week Tao
3. Israeli with unusually long shins
High kneed jew=I need you Tao
4. Small, round vegetable, agreed? Christmas Island?
Christmas Island=Isle of Yule
Pea yes, Isle of Yule=PS I Love You Bobo
5. Tend one thing or the other a characteristic Elmer Fudd might have
An Elmer Fudd characteristic would be a 'Twait'
Care either twait=Carry That Weight Bobo
6. Overcoat grows - young eel coiffure, mother
For overcoat, think macintosh
Mac swells elver hair, ma=Maxwells Silver Hammer Bobo
7. Poem that praises is plural Heather
A poem that praises is an 'Ode'... 'Ling' as any regular crossword puzzler will tell you is a kind of heather, and if you can't get it from that...
Ode are ling=Oh, Darling Boris...eventually ;-)
8. Bird's mouthpiece, Australian shortly
Beak Oz=Because Rock Princess
9. Meat from a pig gets older with drink made from leaves
She is a pretty nice girl
Ham ages tea=Her Majesty IG
10.Finger
This one's the easiest of the lot. Honestly
Digit=Dig It Bobo
Enjoy!

7. Poem that praises is plural Heather
A poem that praises is an 'Ode'... 'Ling' as any regular crossword puzzler will tell you is a kind of heather, and if you can't get it from that...
End Quote
Ok I can't get it from that unless they did a song about yodeling

Quoting:

Oh, come on Boris... the only bit that's missing is, in effect, the plural of "is" - it's only missing one syllable
