Subject: Can you identify this computer game?

Hi, everyone. Rookie here.

Around the 80's, I'd say 1988, 1989, my brother and I purchased two computer games. All on those 5 1/4 floppy disks. One of the games was Black Ninja and the other one is the one I'm interested in.
Text-based, turn based (maybe, I'm not so sure) you were a roman general (or captain). You needed to conquest some cities and make them provincies of Rome.
You started with 1000 centurions and 5000 sesterces.
You had windows where you could buy (swords, shields, horses, slaves and food), you could sell (swords, shields, horses, food and slaves), build (statue of you, of Caesar, a marketplace, a colisseum) attempt bribe if the building costs were too expensive.

And you could attack, first sending scouts to the cities to report you on population ( I think)
If you wanted to attack, you had to mobilize your troops at a cost of 1/4 sack of food per day, plus wages for the centurions. You could engage combat by frontal attack, surround and squeeze, cut off supplies or iniciate a slave revolt.  Once you conquered the city, you could take their treasury money to replenish your funds or take supplies, if those were useful  like horses and food.

Once you had the city, you could garrison troops, recruit troops or build structures, (like I wrote before) and you had to keep a balance between the monies and the troops you had, because the Caesar would take cash or troops from you if you had too many.

Also, at the end of every "turn", you'd get the news from the Empire. With headlining stories like  "Lions suffer humiliating defeat against Christians 1-10)" and "the price of swords goes up" "independence is declared on Chalchis (one of the cities I never managed to conquer) and the like.

Then your horses could get sick and half of them would die, or your slaves would die too...micromanagement at it's best.

It was one very intersting game, with nary an illustration or an animation, but I really would like to play it again. If anyone knows the name, I'd be very happy to know.

Thanks.
