Subject: Crazy Don's 1968 "A to Z" lyrics quiz! (complete!)
QUIZ OVER--THANKS FOR PLAYING!
Mike Florio beat me to a 1968 quiz, and I had to revamp the quiz I was to do, but here it is.
We're getting closer to the end of the 1960's with the 1968 "A to Z" lyrics quiz. There are 21 here, with none starting with the letters K, Q, U, X, or Z. Limit four for now. NO LIMIT!
Remember, if a song is a remake or has been remade, I'm looking for the artist who had the hit with it in 1968.
SD 1. Didn't they try to find some good in you and me?
Abraham, Martin & John--Dion
MNIK 2. Fire all of your guns at once
Born to Be Wild--Steppenwolf
SD 3. You treated me mean
Chain of Fools--Aretha Franklin
Mandamoo 4. You can't see the forest for the trees
Different Drum--The Stone Poneys
(Would have also accepted for the artist Linda Ronstadt, who was their lead singer)

And I'm also providing hints for the remaining three.

Mrs. Robinson--Simon & Garfunkel
13. When I gonna finish, I do
N***** b** M*--T** H**** B****
I'm not sure these are the correct words, but it's one of the few lines of this song, written and originally recorded by the Isley Brothers, that do not contain any or part of the title of the song!
Also, dances mentioned in the song are boogaloo and Philly
Group's name--the last word originally had six letters, the "G" was somehow dropped
14. Within the prison walls of my mind
**** ***--Gary Puckett & the Union Gap
A very simple hint:
Gary Puckett & the Union GapU
Grendle 15. I see your face underneath my pillow
Pictures of Matchstick Men--Status Quo
BF 16. You ain't gonna make it with anyone anyhow
Revolution--The Beatles
BF 17. And look like nothing's gonna come my way
