Subject: Instrumentals Quiz #2 (Fin)
Don't worry. I'm not going to give you lines like "Dum Doodle Dum" or "Eeen Eeen". I'll just give you some hints as to the title of the composition and try to guess the title and artist. Limit 3 for now.
CD 1. This instrumental is named after a classic monster with bolts in his neck. Frankenstein-Edgar Winter Group
FB 2. The name of this 60s one is synonymous with a game company that used to make Pong from a group named after natural disasters. Telstar-The Tornadoes
FB 3. The opposite of "Fall" by a man preforming without his "Brass". Rise-Herb Alpert
DU 4. The title of this one would be said by anyone after a roll in ze hay (that's sex for you less descreet.), by a trumpeter who was seen on an episode of "King Of The Hill" as a potential propane explosion victim. Feels So Good-Chuck Mangione
CD 5. A movie theater staple, by an artist that you would put on said staple. Popcorn-Hot Butter
TAO 6. What your teacher told her students at recess or at a traffic light. Walk, Don't Run-The Ventures
SHZ 7. A famous hymn performed by a band with a Scottish flavor. Amazing Grace-Royal Scot Dragoon Guards Bagpipe Band
FB 8. A classical composition heard in a sci-fi film with Kier Dullea and directed by Stanley Kubrick. Also Sprach Zarathustra-Deodato/Strauss
TAO 9. Another composition from a sci-fi film, this one is a "jazzed-up" version of the John Williams opening theme, played by members of the spaced-out tavern band. Star Wars: Cantina Band-Meco
CF 10. Another classical composition 'jazzed-up' and drastically abridged to about 1/5th of the original. A Fifth Of Beethoven-Walter Murphy
CD 11. A Canadian pianist recorded this 70s hit about a ballerina that performs in a cube you store jewelry in. Music Box Dancer-Frank Mills
JPT 12. A London based rock group with a cellist performed a "blazing" instrumental heard in promos for horse racing events. Fire On High-Electric Light Orchestra
Extra credit: Anyone who can tell me the name of the composition used at the beginning of "Monday Night Football" will received double kudos, since I have no idea myself.
