They are both pants, they were both formed by a competition type thing and they are both managed by the same person.  Basically the same thing JimA said but more emphasis on the "pants" part.

Ok then, what have The Stranglers and Vanessa Carlton got in common ?

Subject: Re: What do they have in common? Game

Written By: @ssKicker on 01/08/03 at 11:30 a.m.

Answer 1: They are both manufactured alliances of demons and should be burnt at the stake
Answer 2: They have both broken a record. Westlife broke the record for the longest run of consecutive No. 1s, and Girls Aloud recently became the first girlband to debut at No. 1.

No we are not talking about Pop trash now.  Since when have The Stranglers ever been manufactured... do you actually know who they are ?

-------------------------------------------

Also didn't the Spice Girls debut in at Number 1 with "Wannabe" ?  Or was that something that never happened ?

Here's a trivia question:
What do Buddy Holly, Billy "Crash" Craddock, Ray Parker, Jr., Tom "T-Bone" Stankus, Harry Chapin, The Royal Guardsmen, and Lesley Gore all have in common?

Subject: Re: What do they have in common? Game

Uhhhhhh they have vowels in their name...

I was going to say they are all dead from accidents as in car accidents, plane crashes but Lesley Gore is still alive so...

The answer could be they all wore glasses or something stupid along those lines...

Ah-Ha.... They are all male.... Thank you, thank you.

Sorry, wrong on all counts Feiticeira. :( But I will give you and everyone else the hint that it has something to do with their songs, not themselves. ;)

Okay, I'll have to give everyone another hint.

One would expect one of these for a high grossing blockbuster movie.

Sorry, Billy. But it has nothing to do with movies.
But here's yet another hint. The title of one of Chapin's later songs should give you a strong clue.

Oh wait, is it TV shows?

Harry Chapin had a great song named "Taxi", which is also a TV shows name

The royal guardsmen had Snoopys Christmas or something like that..not quite sure if that was ever a TV shows name, so they had to have had another song

um.,Ray Parker jr had ghostbusters, which was a cartoon after the movie (in fact there was an unrelated cartoon in the 80s also called ghostbusters..I think there was a gorilla in it)

Buddy Holly....hmmm, gee, I cant think of a TV show with one of his songs...Peggy sue, Everyday, Oh Boy, Maybe baby, thatll be the day..damn, I cant even think of anymore of his songs

Lesly Gore...hmmm....Its my party, Judy's turn to cry..cant think of anymore..damn......im probably wrong anyway

Dont know who the other two are

Okay, not TV shows or themes.
But Lesley Gore's "It's My Party" and Judy's Turn To Cry" have something in common.
Chapin also had another song set in a taxi. If you know the title of the other song, you'll get the answer.
