I know that there's a newer song which stole the chorus from this song.  I was horrified when I heard it.  But no, I don't know the name or artist.

8., if I may dare to say, is "Comfortably Numb" by some hicks that call themselves Luther Wright & the Wrongs. It's from their album "Rebuild The Wall". More like "Desecrate The Wall". ::)
