Alice Cooper or Rolf Harris? There's a varied selection for you! I was unaware of an Alice Cooper cover, it doesn't seem the sort of song he'd sing. Has he mangled it horribly, or does it stay reasonably close to Harris's version?

9. Come To The Sunshine-Harpers Bizarre (originally done by Van Dyke Parks)

Yes indeedy:) Van Dyke Parks and Bob Dylan both have my same basic listening habits, with exceptions. I like hearing them perform their songs, but like it even more when someone else performs them;)
Subject: Re: Sun Songs (3 remaining, No Limit)
Added hints for the three missing, now I'm really going to bed... good luck with the remaining ones
Subject: Re: Sun Songs (3 remaining, No Limit)
1. Artists United Against Apartheid - Sun City

10. "Jamestown Massacre" by Summer Sun.

Incredibly close, but wrong enough that I feel an adjustment is needed. Reread this excerpt from the hint and you'll know why:
10. The band's named after an event which was photographed by Erastus Field
Well... changed my mind. I'm reversing my decision on the assumption that this was a typographical error, in effect just a mistake, and we all make plenty...:)

Woops! I should have written "'Summer Sun' by Jamestown Massacre."
My turn to be precise: Wasn't Erastus Field a painter and not a photographer?

Most certainly was, didn't even realize I'd written it incorrectly, my mistake ... I know very little about photography, I doubt there'll ever be a time I'm able to make a reference to it as a hint. I'll amend that next time I have some spare moments and bother to log in.

Is number 14 by the Ramones? If it is, the only Sun Song I can think of is "California Sun."

Nope, sorry, I didn't have a Ramones song in mind, although if they covered "California Sun", and I know they covered "Indian Giver", they could have covered the song referenced in the hint too...
