Subject: Same Name/Different Song Quiz ~ TWO LEFT
Seen as the thread was so sucessful, I thought this might be an interesting quiz to do. I will use a clue so you guys can distinguish the two artists, and then name the song that they both sing. More clues will be added if these prove too hard to solve! :)
1) The first arists is a solo, female singer. The second artists were a popular duo. Both were extremely famous in the 80's and now one artist more famous than the other, although they are still quite well known. The song asks a simple question. Phil/Goreripper Madonna/Eurythmics - Who's That Girl
2) The first artist were popular in the late 70's and early 80's. The second artist has a following in the present day. The first artist has a connection with video footage to promote the cause of Live Aid, and the second artists appears to like the colour 'sea foam green'. The song has an automobile connection. DJ Midas Incubus/The Cars - Drive
3) Both artists have been popular in the 80's, 90's and the present day. They are both solo stars. The song was done by one artist in the early 80's as an album track, and by the other in the mid 90's as a single. A popular song sampled thee 80's song in the early 90's. There are two words in the title.
4) The first artist has had considerable success in both the 80's and early 90's. The second artist has shot to instant fame after their first single in the very late 90's. One is an upbeat synth pop tune, and the other is a quite a slow song for this particular artist. The songs in question were either the first of second hit for the artists. The title has a reference to time.
5) Both artists broke through in the 70's and were extremely popular in the 80's. Both artists are British. The first artist has made several records in different genres, and the second artist's lead singer has been in two bands and then devoted himself to a strong solo career by the 90's. The first artist's song was used in a film in the mid 80's, and the second artist's song features on the soundtrack to 'Grosse Point Blank'. Goreripper The Jam/David Bowie - Absolute Beginners
Hope these aren't too hard - good luck! If this is successful, I'll think of some more! :)

Good try but incorrect. Annie Lennox has something to do with it though :)

Could that be "Who's that girl?"?
Phil
PS I'm guessing - these questions are beyond me, I'm afraid

OKAY, I know I've been gone for a while, but I have one! It's a song from the EARLY 70s, and also from the LATE 50s! SAME SONG, DIFFERENT ARTIST! I will give one clue! I named myself after the artist from the 70s!
