#11 looks like it could be "Ebony & Ivory" by Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder...but I thought that was an 80's song. ???

You are correct inasmuchas it's not Ebony and Ivory.
I thought when I was compiling this "This could cause me problems..."
So the question remains open - there is (at least one) 70's song containing that lyric.

Now, if that's not Tutti Frutti (or however it's spelt), I don't know what it is... but surely that came before the 70s?
By Chuck Berry (or was it Little Richard - I always get their songs mixed up)

Hey Phil
You are quite correct in your observations (and I believe it was Little Richard, but I make the same mistakes you do in that regard with those two...)
However ! This is definitely a 70's song, and I took the words verbatim from a lyrics site (cos I didn't want to stuff them up)So it's still out there waiting for you (or someone)
Slight hint - the song has a non-sensical title and the group has a silly name...

Well I'm certainly glad we see eye to eye on the Michael Bolton issue ! Whew :P
Eruption be correct ! I couldn't think of another way to hint without using the word volcano, which may have been slightly more obvious...Extra half a point for Taoist !
