Hi Banasy !
Don't see you here often....I presume you mean # 12....
You are correct with the song title, so half a point !
Actually I will give you a full point because I don't see you here very often !
But the other half is still open...
FB ;)
Subject: Re: FB 70s lyrics quiz
Hey, I'm confused here. I thought #14 was Dark Lady. Then Banasy says its the Evita song. Didn't she mean #12?
Subject: Re: FB 70s lyrics quiz
I assumed Banasy meant number 12, so I answered on that basis...
# 14 was indeed Dark Lady, and not :
Dont Cry For Me, Marge and Tina.....
FB
Subject: Re: FB 70s lyrics quiz
#15 is "Smokin' in the Boys' Room" by Brownsville Station. Later covered by Mötley Crüe.
Subject: Re: FB 70s lyrics quiz
In that case:
The London version was done by Elaine Paige, and the Broadway version was by Patti LuPone.

Hi J.C.
Whilst I have no doubt about the veracity of your statement, I am looking for the artist on the single (forgive me if that applies to any of the names you mentioned).
Her initials BTW, were also J.C. !

Sorry, Fuss. But all I'm getting from googling is Madonna. I let someone else answer.

Googling is very discouraged. By FBVP anyway. Thou shalt not Google. In case of confusion, simply use alternative unmentioned search engine.
(NOTE: I do not agree with, or participate in, the above practice.)

At the risk of sounding like I'm up on my knowledge, isn't it something to do with The Revelation of St John The Divine and Armageddon? The world shall now end due to unfair practices in lyrics quizzes?
Sorry, I may have offended you there, JC. I didn't mean to, I know that you're a devout Christian and you would not want me to say things like that. I truly apologise for the remarks in the previous paragraph.

Thanks, JC. I didn't think I found it when I searched through anyway. If only the Internet was invented 2000 years ago. Thanks, if only for taking my comment in jest when others I know would have probably done otherwise.

I don't want to sound sexist, but men will always beat women in farting contests, because of their superior stench.
Sorry FB, if that offends you. We should discuss that in another thread (perferably PM). But let's get back to the quiz.

Hoges did the Marge and Tina joke on his show once... Kenny Everett also did "Don't Cry for Me, Ike and Tina"... But that's another story.

Oh hang on... I think I figured it out: Julie Covington played the part of Beth on the War of the Worlds album. The booklet has her bio in it, and that's where I read about her contribution to Evita.
I'm confused now, and still coming to grips with Paul Hogan and the Two Ronnies doing the same joke.

That's two guesses right (here and in Taoist's quiz) in a row... they say things come in threes (I'm sure there's a rude joke about Atomic Kitten in there somewhere), so I wonder what the third'll be...
