Maybe 7&8 were too hard... just in case anyone's interested:
#7 was Spread Your Wings by Queen
#8 was Goodbye To Romance by Ozzy Osbourne

Clues for the hard ones are in the form of anagrams:
#7 you know is Queen, so the song is: "Grow Daisy Prunes"
and is drawn from an album sharing its title with a Marx Brothers film
#8 artist and title: "crazy bozo meets goon boy under oo"
The song is a requiem for a friend of the writer who died in a plane crash - it's also been mentioned (by me) elsewhere on this forum

I think so too, Bobo!!  I'm sitting here thinking Queen for #7 and Iron Maiden for #2...but then I'm just going blank!!

Yes, 7 and 2 are Queen and Iron Maiden respectively.

A quick clue for the remaining music (in no particular order): one is drawn from an album sharing its title with a Marx Brothers film; another based on a book and hit musical; the third is a requiem for a friend of the writer who died in a plane crash.

PS That guitar duet from Phantom of the Opera has always been one of my all-time favourite bits of music.  Especially live.

As for the Brian May track, I have absolutely no idea which one it is, it's just that Brian's guitar playing is somewhat distinctive
