Subject: Just A Couple Of Beatles Questions......
Before John's death, what was the last studio LP they recorded together... and what was the last song they did?
Subject: Re: Just A Couple Of Beatles Questions......
Abbey Road...Her Majesty?

I am in agreement with Banasy here R&RF.
I'm pretty sure that althouth Let It Be was released last, that it was recorded before Abbey Road.
As for the song, I have no idea !
FB :)

I believe the last song they did together was "The Long and Winding Road".
Subject: Re: Just A Couple Of Beatles Questions......
The LP was indeed Abbey Road... which was recorded in early '69.....Let It Be was released after by Phil Spector, after he spent weeks pouring through material they had done although it was recorded before Abbey Road......while the last single remains a mystery........
Subject: Re: Just A Couple Of Beatles Questions......
I always thought the last song they recorded was I Me Mine. Let It Be, as I remember, was never intended to be released as their last single.
Subject: Re: Just A Couple Of Beatles Questions......
"The Long and Winding Road" was famous for being the last single that hit #1 for the Fab Four as a group. But we may never know the last song they ever recorded, because some of their stuff could still be in Capitol Records or Michael Jackson's vaults. :(

In that case R&RF, "The End" seems appropriate enough to have been a Beatles 'in joke' ?
FB ???

I would like to say that the second half of the Beatles quiz is solved. But it hasn't. Does this question really have an answer? Or is it like Deep Throat in that it's a long kept secret? ;)

Nope...sorry. I am out for the night....we have to keep our windows closed tonight (With all the smoke) and don't have AC >:(
Subject: Re: Just A Couple Of Beatles Questions......
The final, seventeenth track on Abbey Road was "Her Majesty", a 23 seconder, containing the last chord of Mean Mr Mustard. That is not going to be the answer, such is the nature of this quiz. Erm... I'm not going to hazard a guess at the moment, until I can get my book out.

J.C., you are correct...it was indeed Come Together :D
Subject: Re: Just A Couple Of Beatles Questions......
Well, how ironic that "Come Together" was the last song they ever recorded, then they went their separate ways. And it was also the first song on "Abbey Road". :D
