Subject: Some of my older abandoned places/things photos

Abandoned places I've photographed, since a lot of folks here like my work, I've posted more. :)
All taken in 2012 but the cemetery scene...
Section of a historic cemetery that the ground and graves are too unstable to do maintenance on:

Nice work!
For some reason, the cemetery/mossy gravestones make me sad. I like the picture/composition, but just the thought of not being able to maintain a grave because of condition of the land make me sad. I have family (I think they are my grandma's grandparents, so that'd make them what... my great-great grandparents?) Anyways, their gravestone is at the very edge of a hillside and their pretty gravestone has fallen over on it's side. At least I noticed it had a few years ago. I haven't been back in a few years. I always wanted to set it back upright, but it is way to heavy (and I can't bring myself to ask my hubby or brother, I don't want them getting hurt, and I haven't had the extra money is so long to hire somebody to put it upright...) Just feels like I'm letting my family down somehow (even though I never knew them.) (Sorry, didn't mean to turn your thread into a confessional.) ;D
I, too, like abandoned buildings. I always take note of them when driving past. Sometimes if driving by myself, I'll stop and take pictures too. I haven't done that in awhile though.

They're wonderful, interesting photos. Loved the photo of the credit card decal on the gas station window...and all the other ones, of course. :) You're all such great photographers Chris, and Cat, and bookmistress. And everyone else who has posted pictures. Very nice!
