I finally found my adapter so I can share some of my comic con pics with you guys.

I have about 109 pics from Comic Con posted to Facebook.... I'll just post some of the highlights here....

My first Comic Con pic.... my friend Dom took this for me. This was on Thursday. We got there Wednesday but this was officially my first day at Comic Con.

I saw many costumed people on Wed night and early in the AM on Thursday but this was the first one I was compelled to take a pic with.

After walking around the hall and getting some cool swag, Dom and I went to Nerd HQ... it's this Comic Con side event hosted by Zac Levi from Chuck....  he puts on a couple of panels a day for different TV shows and stuff. There are only 225 tix avail at $20 each they sell out quick and people even pay to stand during the event.  The money goes to a good cause Operation Smile which helps heal children's cleft palates.  The two events I attended on Thursday netted $15,000  so I'm guessing they did pretty well considering there was a Joss Whedon and Nathan Fillion panels on the days I couldn't be there... there were also  Twilight, Grimm, Dr Who, Supernatural....and few others I can't remember all of which I missed.  :\'(    looks like they might have raised $140,000 this year...

On Friday there was a Community panel, a Firefly reunion and an additional Joss Whedon panel scheduled for Friday....sadly I didn't have a pass for Friday (although I found out two hours too late I could've used an extra one a friend had  >:( ) 


anyway- hotel rooms were ridiculous so I stayed in a room (really cheap cuz a friend hooked me up with a deal) but to stay Thursday nite was going to cost me $180... I was only going to be in the room for a couple of hours so it didn't seem logical...unfortunately that meant I had no where to stay once I was done on Thurs. Dom had a pass for the weekend and was going to sit in line all night so he could see the panels I mentioned. I told him to just go back to his hotel (he was sleeping on the floor of a hotel a friend of ours got with his friend)  I figured he could get some rest and I'd just wait in line for him....gave me something to do. Thought I'd get to doze off but I didn't.  Adam Baldwin came by and then Joss Whedon showed up... it was too much excitement.  I knew about 10 ppl in line and although we were in different places in line we kept visiting one another...

I found a mannequin, diorama from the final scene of the Walking Dead Finale....so I took a pic of the zombie...

I would imagine that Sarah Michelle also resents being identified as Buffy? I realize that this was just one piece of work in their lives for all of the main characters that were in BTVS or Angel; but there is nothing to be ashamed of with those shows. They were good!

I don't think they are ashamed of it... I think they resent that being the piece of work that "defines" them...trust me when Bones finally comes to an end he will also resent people identifying him with Sealy Booth... I think he likes the paycheck more than he embraces the role he's playing.

I think Sarah Michelle isn't as resentful of the recognition as David is but she's more afraid (or annoyed) by her fans. She wants to do the work and get the accolades but she doesn't the other nuisances that come with fame.  ::)
