It does have that effect to it, but to be honest, I just kinda worked it that way and really wasn't sure what style I was painting in, but it just turned out that the brush strokes had that effect. Thanks for your keen observation, Henk :0)

Thanks I've always been able to draw and or paint by sight.  Color is also very important to me.  I ought to paint some more and I probably could sell them for a little money.  As long as I don't have to spend a fortune getting them framed for art shows.  I spent $42 getting that framed.

   Half of a Roman segmented plate cuirass called a 'lorica segmentata' based on one of the finds at the Coria Roman settlement excavated in northern UK...

   I thought I hd lost the piccys, and I don't have the thing anymore.  I was still assembling the other half...

I like it and don't get rid of it. when you are much older it will be fun to look at and maybe many many years down the road, you can show it to your kid. my daughter drew me a psychedelic poster when she was about 6 and I think I still have it. I may have to get it framed and hang it on the wall. she called it Sycho Art of the 70's. I thought it was cute how she misspelled Psycho

Really nice.  The silhouettes are well done and I like the setting sun reds.  I use water soluble oils myself.  I find that they are easier to blend the colors with, but that's just my preference

I attended a painting session with my parents on Sunday afternoon, and we all had to paint a certain image with a particular set of colors. For the sunset portion, we had to use magenta and yellow (no blue); for the rest of the sky, blue and magenta (no yellow); for the water, blue and a little yellow (no magenta); the yellow could be mixed with the blue to create a turquoise or teal (for an aquatic effect). In each of the three sections, we could use as much white as we wanted, to lighten the colors. I even tried to make a gradient to blend the colors in some places. The land masses (in black) were added last.

I don't have the patience to design a complete deck, I always liked the style of the three of swords and wanted to replicate that.
