Yeah Stars Hollow is a quaint but quirky town in CT  there's a gazebo in the town square, a main street with little shops and nice houses.  The people are really quirky tho but that's what lends it charm to the show.... of course the whole thing was shot on the WB lot but looking at your pictures it proves the studio got the look right.

this is up on Grizzly Peak looking down at UC Berkeley. the pointy looking structure is the Campanelli, it's a clock tower building  & Diane works just a couple of buildings away. The water is the east side of the San Francisco Bay, thus we live in the East Bay Area. we actually live about 10-15 miles inland to the right of the picture. We'll be there in Berkeley next Saturday to see the California Goldens Bears vs. the Oregon State Beavers football game. Lady Di got us tix. I can hardly wait to see the Bear-Beavers go at it  ::)

For those who are still awake, that big brown monstrosity on the left is the old signal box (disused, as all the signals work electrically...when they feel like it!), but the building can't be demolished as it has 'listed' status...

So, in this derelict state, it proved a wonderful home for pigeons...which eventually became a problem, what with the mess, so all the pigeons were turfed out and the windows boarded up...

The only original fixture is the lattice bridge in the middle distance...it dates back to 1895 and makes some scary creaking noises as you walk over it!  :D

That's right! I remember you mentioning that before. Yes, Pacheco is not far from W.C. at all! It mainly neighbors Martinez (they actually have the same zip code) and Pleasant Hill.

Lovely city Luke.  I think that they filmed the majority of "The Frighteners" starring Michael J. Fox there in 1996.  Ever since I saw the scenery in that film, I've always wanted to visit and photograph that city.  Stunning.

yeah!! that's our mountain Mt. Diablo and it sure looked great today because it was a very clear day in the Bay Area. nice pic Krissy and I love Walnut Creek & worked there for 5 years 1995-2000. I still go there once in awhile and pass by it everyday on my way home from work.

It depends on what you mean by sub-zero: It rarely gets Zero Fahrenheit here but it does every now and again. Zero Celsius (32 F), is really not too bad if you are dressed for it. 

Our house is about 100 years old (give or take) and is still fairly sound (needs tweaking-but what house doesn't).

I love Americana. It's a gorgeous town Catwoman - big tree lined roads etc. Also love the wood clad houses.

And if you come for Memorial Day weekend, you can enjoy our Spring Fling or if you come AFTER, we MAY have the Big Dog in the water.

yup, it's the Sheriffs jurisdiction except where I live in Carriage Hills. we got Richmond PD & all Richmond services, it's 94803 El Sob zip and in the hills by Kennedy Grove but the city of Richmond claims it, is that a trip or what?

  It's like when I lived in American Canyon - they didn't have their own police so the city government rented cops from Napa PD and, I think, Vallejo PD.  I'd get to see all the purdy designs on the different cop cars...

  Crockett has two resident deputy sheriffs (or is that "deputies sheriff"?) and I'm always seeing CHP cruising through here.  Rodeo was pissed that Crockett had two deputies and they had to beg for only one.  Well, I say they can have ours and I'll call them when I need one.  Hell all they do around here is enforce vehicle code violations.  It's not like it's really that important...

  We used to have alot of ex cons living here but registered sex offenders need not apply.  With the 2,000 foot rule thay can't live pretty much anywhere in town...

;D that's funny.  well, we don't need no stinking badges to protect our families & property. we do have the right to bear arms or most anything else that kills  ;D    I think El Sobrante, Crockett, Rodeo are like metropolitan areas compared to Port Costa which is in your neighborhood.
