aww..thanks Krissy. Ya, my mom was pretty talented with being creative with our Halloween costumes. It always made it extra special, the time and effort that she put into making them just right for us. :)

Thanks. Actually, I wear black stockings a lot because I have a tendicy to wear dark dresses.  I HATE pantyhose with a passion so I wear the thigh highs (with a garter belt). So much more comfortable in my book. (Besides, Carlos LOVES the garter belt.  ;) )

No, we stopped going when she got a job and had to work Friday nights.  She isn't working there anymore, so hopefully we'll start going back.  We always had a blast.

;D  thanks for the warning, and thanks for the nice compliments to Julie. she is a sweetie-pie and she's 17 now, and the boys are in line. for a kid who didn't have a boyfriend from her freshman to junior years of HS, she's making up for it in her senior year. she's on her 3rd boyfriend now, but she always comes home at the agreed upon time, which is usually midnight (I go for the Cinderella theme) and always calls if thinks will be later or if wants to stay out later. And the boys are nervous and fearful of me when I come around, and that's a good thing  ;)

Yes, he was quite sharply dressed. That was my mom's doing. She found the outfit in California and sent it out for him. I played merry hell finding dress shoes for him though. I finally did, although I don't remember where I bought them now. :P

Strangely, it seems most people reckon the harbor bridge walk is more of an adrenalin rush /scarier of the two. I found it a relative piece of cake ... relative to the Sydney Tower, that is. The bridge climb is more gradual, so you have time to acclimatise yourself.  Also, it is half the height. With the 'tower' ... you step outside, and are immediately confronted with the height. Oh ... you asked 'Did we have a good time'.

Hmm. Yes and no. Well, I'm embarrassed to admit I snapped a few times in her direction. We're very different people, and I needed a bit more 'space'. She was sharing my smallish one bedroom apartment (I was on the sofa-bed). She seemed to want to fuss about everything and anything ... stuff I thought was so non urgent / unimportant, and constantly asking if I'd done this/done that. Apart from that, we're both easily confused these days and it got rather irritating to explain things again and again and again ...

Nevertheless, we care deeply about each other ... so it's rather a shame we didn't get along better.

We managed to do a bunch of harbor ferry trips/ walks, lunch/dinner with a few friends, and a trip for a few days,  to Ayers Rock in the middle of Australia. Unfortunately, the pics I have from there are very dark. I never really wanted to go there, because of the heat (it was over 40 C / 100 F every day !) and the frigging flies which were numerous and very annoying. Nevertheless, we did it, and I managed to get through it unscathed by sunburn, thanks to very high protection sunblock etc;

^ Thats Sydney Tower. Formerly called centrepoint tower. To the antenna is 305 metres / 1000 feet. It is Australia's second tallest building, and the tallest free standing structure  in Sydney. They have a skywalk tour a little below it, where you walk on the outside, and can look down through a glass floor to see the people walking on the street below. This is a 'mere' 260 metres, / 853 feet above ground.

I had done the walk over the top of the Sydney Harbor bridge 3 times before. Tackled this one a couple of weeks back with mum. Here we are ....

As you can see, there are two "23" players standing at first base, which is why I captured the shot. And I was seated on the first-base side, so it worked out perfectly. (Had Adrian Gonzalez been the baserunner and he were standing at 3rd base, since that's where David Freese plays, it would have been difficult for me to capture.)

thanks Howard. the house took me about an hour and I had a friend moving and holding the ladder. As for the tree, Lady Di did the lights in about 30 minutes
