Artistry Rules For Newcomers:
- If one wishes to enter (entry in all rounds is not compulsory), entry must be written (or selected from back catalog) within two weeks of the posting of the entry thread
- Voting runs during the same two-week period as the next entry thread, so organise your time wisely
- All participants must comment on all entrants and vote by the deadline.  Failure to vote will forfeit all points from that round, but it won't disqualify you from participating in the next round
- Voting will take place by replying to the appropriate voting thread
- If a person withdraws from an Artistry Round prior to the end of a round, all entrants who voted for that person's entry will be permitted to pick one new song to earn a bonus point, all other songs will be realigned accordingly.  There will be no penalty on those who don't change their vote.
- Once a vote is posted, it cannot be changed UNLESS rule 3 applies OR there was a double-vote by accident.

I've chosen "Turn Me On" for my parody this round, probably gonna keep the title and twist it, so expect something about robots or homicidal microwaves or something. And in case you're curious, this is a similar to case to me allowing Abbott to parody "Let's Go" for the Ne-Yo round despite the main artist not being the round's artist: modern producers apparantely want so much credit for their generic dance-pop that they decided to put out their own tracks featuring hit names and take top billing. For Abbott it was Calvin Harris, for me it's David Guetta.

A round with not only an "artist" that I kinda like, but that I already have a parody written for! (It's been awhile since we've had one of these rounds  ::) )

I wrote this a long time ago, it had a lot of potential, but definitely needs some rewrites. May do a redux version. Or a completely different parody, I DON'T KNOW. But this is a good placeholder for now.

Hate to say it, but I'm not sure if that counts, B-Man. I checked the lyrics and will.i.am definitely has the majority of the vocals (two verses and three choruses vs. two verses). I'm open to other opinions on this, but as far as the unspoken "50% or more vocals" rule goes, "Check It Out" would go in last Artistry's Black Eyed Peas round, unfortunately.

Well, this song appears on her album "Pink Friday" and I believe the chorus is both of them. Plus she has that long rap verse. But like I said, I'm not super attached to this one.

It is kind of an iffy situation...anyone else got any thoughts on it?

although I have not heard the song yet, for the fact that it's on the album and she is prominent (if not in the majority of it) I would let it through.
