I have said my two cents on this, it would not kill me to see SOTM fade out--even as, the way Peter pointed out, just a hiatus. I really want to have more than 5 people show up on a semi-regular basis, otherwise it just isnt worth it.

May I remind Peter & Phil (and any other casual reader of this post), the Artistry contest is ongoing and can always use more brave souls to tackle artists you may/may not be familiar with.

Honorable mentions to everyone else in this round and every round ever - it's been a ten year itch (the good kind) and lotsa fun!

I'll keep an eye on Artistry, might pop in there occasionally, but right now we're doing six people's work with basically four employees (wish we could hire all you guys) AND I'm in training for another Marathon on my free time so don't expect too much before my summer vacation.

I just hope the SOTM competitions are just taking a break and not going away forever. Maybe a year off to get everyone back into it so that we have more rounds like this, instead of 5 entries each month. That said, here is my final ballot...

To the people who received somewhat grumpy comments, I apologise.  I'm always particularly sclerotic this time of year..

It has reminded me of why I stopped doing these competitions: I'm not really into saying this song is better than that song, as too often they're just different & putting one above the other isn't something I find enjoyable any more.  There wasn't quite enough nostalgia for the SOTM for me to really enthuse.

I hope it's not a chicken race to see who gets to cast the last ever votes, but if so I'd say Matty deserves it more for being around almost all the ten years, and since I dropped the ball a few years back he has almost certainly overtaken the record for longest month-by-month streak within the entire ten year run of the SOTM! ;)

I do like that idea using just the winners instead of all the medalists. Let's put it to a vote. Who wants it that way and who wants it the original way? I like the 12 entries because 36 is just way too many!
