This is going to be a highly entertaining round, Mon!
Too bad I don't have any Bob Marley parodies written so I'm going to have to write one for this contest... I'm thinking about doing "Jammies" to "Jammin'"...
But I might do a parody to "No Woman, No Cry" we'll see what happens! It's going to be fun!!!

Thinking of parodying "One Love" for this one, possibly called "Brain Slugs". Though the trick there is whether it'll be about Yeerks or these guys:

EDIT: Nope, get ready for "Bear Hug"!
EDIT 2: THE QUICKENING: Nope, instead look out for "No Bus"! I've worked out a chorus for this one (at the same time as I wrote the first verse and chorus for three other parodies I'm working on), so I'm sticking with this one.

There seems to be a "bus" theme developing here! One of my Bob Marley submissions for Monday has a bus in it. But it's for a different song.

When I read this, I was worried at first. But then I looked at the parody in question, and from what I can tell they're very different in tone. Mine is more of a "the bus system sucks in every conceivable way but I don't have a licence so I'm stuck with it" kinda thing, whereas yours is a "of all the scenes in Southland Tales to reference why oh why did you choose the in-universe advertisement where two cars shagged" kinda thing. And as you said, different songs, so I think we'll be fine.
BTW, I'm not being serious in my accusation, that was honestly the first thing that came to my mind when I read the opening line.

For those considering "No Woman No Cry" for parody, I suggest you use this performance of the song. It is shorter and sticks close to the lyrics cited on many web sites.
Edit... this is the one I am going to use.

Came up with a better idea but my life has been kind of crazy lately. Can I get an extension until Monday? Please!
But my idea is to the song I wanted to parody all along "No Woman, No Cry" called "Dumb Questions, Don't Ask"

I second that extension. I wasnt about to ask for one all by myself having made such a faux pas in the Billy Joel round. :-[ :)

I have worked every day since this date was set, and have a major report due, I just couldn't get it done, I'm asking for, and presumably moving, the entry date and voting date for the current round to monday. . .8/6
I'm sorry, Its very difficult when two weeks run together, which for me has been a regular thing and will be until my show schedule slows down or school lets out which doesn't look to happen this month
