(Of course any song from that time period counts not just these certain songs. So if you want to do something obscure be my guest).
Here are the few rules that this contest has...
1. Make sure that your song has something to do with the topic (That's why it's there for)
2. Make sure your song is from that half decade (If you don't know ask)
3. Make sure that you get it done in the time limit given (Which is two weeks from today)
4. Make sure to post it here when it's uploaded on Amiright
5. Have fun with it

Just started work on a parody of "The Lady in Red" about dancing with "Jed the Janitor" at prom... janitors and proms are related to school, hope this is OK... :)

Since I didn't fanboy it out during the last round (using Quidditch as the sport) I'll go with the whole ENTIRE SCHOOL for this round...

Well...
I've been listening to Sirius/XM 80s on 8 all week to try to get a little inspiration...and have yet to fall in love with anything. I'm not giving up...I still want to write something new...(that's why I love these contests, after all...they force me to write!)...but in case I fail...here's a placeholder from my catalog...about all the classes in took back in school...in an effort to avoid the one I wouldn't take... :)

Ended up parodying and submitting "Love Shack" by the B52s (1989) with a math class theme, and it was the longest, toughest parody I've done since I parodied "Red, Red Wine" by UB40 in 2009. I thought it turned out pretty good, and it was a good way to waste an hour and a half... the Chris De Burgh song ended up being a tough nut to crack that I couldn't do anything decent with... :)
I'll put the link up when CG updates parody lyrics next, hopefully tomorrow morning...

My entry for this contest will be "Hard ,Tough Test" parody of Escape Club's "Wild, Wild West". Just got to do some editing and adjusting. Expect it on Thursday on the dot at the due date.
