If the points total and votes are identical, it will be left as a legitimate tie

~~Any entrant whose votes don't show a time stamp prior to midnight on the last day of the month (ie. according to the "inthe00's meantime" clock as it appears BEFORE you log in - not a timezone corrected version) is disqualified, no exceptions.

~~A medal known as the FUCA shall be awarded to the highest ranking parody which did not make the month's podium and is of an original song which has not previously earned any medal

This has to be the best SOTM contest I've been in so far! My top 3 were so hard to choose between with the following songs very close behind. It was so difficult for me to decide. The #1 slot is well deserved  :)!

I would like to make an official request, because this is something that happened to me a lot when I ran the contest--not picking on any one person, but Jeff did offer to host SOTM for a reason, he, like I, sticks to the rules to a T, and that includes waiting until any person who wishes to enter has the chance.  I am going to ask that unless a person is running considerably late, we don't step in and post their contest threads. . . I hope that doesn't come across wrong, but everyone is welcome to start contests, think of how it would feel if someone started a contest thread, under a contest you are hosting, that was posted early, or results before your rules had finished deadlines (ABC, Artistry, SOTM etc all allow past voters to vote, and at least three times an early results post came in as someone who wasn't required to vote, but had the right to, was voting)  There's no need to rush the gun,

Sorry Matt-this isn't aimed solely at you, this is a trend I've noticed many times, and I am just stating my opinion, Jeff if you disagree feel free to say so, I handed the reigns to you and if you don't mind, then I will support your decision, I'm just stating what I felt needed to be said.

Like I said, I thought it was the 8th. The same reason why I asked you to pull the artist for Artistry. Plus I was also confused why Rex hadn't posted anything. I seriously thought today was the 8th.

3 people haven't, including myself, but that's cause the deadline is 14 days away. . .a lot of people don't have time to vote quickly, and some people take longer to read parodies (I actually take the time to quasi-sing parodies so that I can check them to TOS and see if they sound good aloud just like on paper)  Different voting styles result in different voting time frames, that's why its rare that SOTM has had all voters this early along, in fact its rare that over 50% have already voted by now
