Numbers and symbols the final round

One opinion so far on '(' and that is that it is not a symbol, but I can't seem to find precedence, this and other questions will no longer be an issue if my new rules go into effect as planned for the next ABC set.

Agri says he doesn't think it does, but if it doesn't then there aren't many examples of where 'symbols' would be used, as '(' is not an article like "The" and "A" is, I mean most examples I can think of for symbols would be for alphabitation purposes.  The exceptions would be using symbols in place of inappropriate words, which would still have spellings or cases where a symbol was a major part of the name such as '!' in which case the whole song's name is in fact the symbol for explimation point. . .I guess for that reason I am not sure what to allow or disallow as a symbol as it's not well defined in previous ABC rounds like the use of "The" or "A" being ignored for the purposes of where they qualify.  I don't know of any examples of someone using something with ( in the title where it was used in a round ignoring the (  any other opinions on this??

My opinion is that since there are so few OS and title switch choices that start with numbers, you should be very liberal as to what symbols are allowed - in order to maximize participation.  I hope you reach a final decision soon, since I have to come up with a parody from scratch before the entry deadline for this round.  I'd hate to spend a lot of time on something only to find out that it was disallowed.

I suggest everyone write a new Parody for this round  :) As you can call your parody whatever you like just put a Symbol at the beginning of the name (does it have to be at the beginning or just somewhere in the title  ???)

Would this title be acceptable for the symbols and numbers round? if not I'll just start it with a number  :D  eg 4 U Txt m8s
