Subject: Agrimorfee Thinking About Starting A Once A Month Parody Challenge

Watch this space, perhaps in 2010, for a parody challenge from me...depends on my 'net access, and how I feel, and perhaps your input.
I am thinking of starting a contest wherein I will choose some of my favorite songs which I have not parodied yet, nor anyone else. I will provide Youtubes and lyrics, and I will also try to complete them as a contestant. Due to the challenging nature of the tunes, and in the interest of scheduling, I am considering a once-a-month schedule to allow plenty of time for entrants, plus a 2-3 week judging time.
A prize for the end of the year? MAYBE. ???
Please comment and provide suggestions if any, veteran contest hosts and potential contestants.

Are these songs going to reflect you're bizarre taste in music or are they going to be Top Billboard Songs?
That most likely will depend on how people reflect to this contest.

Why do I get the feeling that Mr. Bungle is gonna make an appearance in this contest?
Whether he does or not, I think that I'll more than likely enter this one.

Hi gang...thanks for your thoughts. My goal for this contest is to do songs for ARTISTS THAT NO ONE HAVE PARODIED BEFORE...so no Mr. Bungle will be here, conq...and no Dragonforce, DJ. (But I will try to look for a speedy metal tune of some sort).
I'm now trying to formulate my list of 12 songs that will be used...some of them will be one-hit wonders, some way off the beaten path...this will be a fun challenge for everyone that I would really love to see others do! A demanded song oftentimes brings out the best in a parodist.
EDIT: I might have to take back that part about "ARTISTS NO ONE HAS PARODIED"...I'm having a hard time finding 12 of those...

Kristof Robinson still has not made good on my challenge of The Fiery Furnaces from nearly two years ago... ;D
