"The" is not counted towards the alphabet, this would be a "B" round entry, I apologize. . .it's just the way it was when it was set up (probably because you can really put 'the' in front of just about anything, which would make too many things that shouldn't qualify for "T" qualify--but regardless-I don't make the rules, I just make sure they are known) Partially my fault for not mentioning it in the entry thread.

Hey Scott and Torey, go ahead and enter something...sometimes I find out what I thought was crap was considered great by others once they actually read it. And besides, you'll get more exposure and helpful critiques along the way.

I didn't know through the whole first set either, they are considered articles though--so unless they are the title (IE you have a song named A or The) they have always not been counted. . .any T will do though, it's just that the words The and A make the round even more wide open. . .but I think it was also to avoid the possibility of people just naming a strong song that didn't start with T or A when this round comes up. . .I personally have always considered 'The and A' as part of the titles myself, but I follow the rules of those who I inhibited the contest from. . .which was that The is an article, if precedent hadn't already been set, I promise that personally I would not have any problem with it myself.
