As stated prior to this thread, VOTING is worth points.  If you vote and did not enter this contest, you will get 3 points towards the overall 5 year standings in the Artistry contest.  When you vote as an entrant in this round, you receive 5 points for voting. . .that means no one who votes ends with no points. . . .

Anyway, the rules are pretty similar to other contests.  This is round 54 so please know that ALL rounds will count EQUALLY toward the final standings, and NO rounds will be omitted from the final total.

1. All participants must comment on all entrants and vote by the deadline, which for this rounds is August 12th, 2009.  Failure to vote will forfeit all points from this round, and if that is less than 20 points, the difference will be forfeited in the following round (No Disqualifications)

2. Voting will take place by replying to this thread

3. If a person withdraws from an Artistry Round prior to the end of a round, all entrants who voted for that person's entry will be permitted to pick one new song to earn a bonus point, all other songs will be realigned accordingly.  There will b
e no penalty on those who don't change their vote.

4. Once a vote is posted, it cannot be changed UNLESS rule 3 applies OR there was a double-vote by accident.

5. Late entries will be accepted until the 1st vote has been posted.

6. The deadline is a strict deadline, the moment the date has reached the day after the deadline, no votes will count, this is to reduce last minute voting, or sympathy/favoritism towards different entrants.

7. We ask that any entrant who posts a link to his/her original song (source of parody) not be DKTOS for the contest.

8. All other basic competition rules as applied in other competitions are generally followed.  The rules may not be changed or altered unless two/thirds of those voting in a round where a rule change is requested agrees.  Rules may be added by host (Below Average Dave) if it was a rule in the ABC or SOTM contest that was thought to be common knowledge, but not known by a particular entrant.

I will be voting tonight, but from out of town, so even though no voters will remain, the deadline is being extended until Friday because I cannot pull the next artist until then, thus there isn't really a point in me rushing the results:)

This was easily one of the toughest rounds I've had to judge this year. . .alas when it came down to it. . .I had no choice but to pair them all down. . .

HM to Agrimorfee, awesome job with I'm on Fire, unfortunately the song wasn't long enough to elaborate on a killer idea, which sucks because at the point I got to this one I really thought it'd make the top 5. . .no problem. .

1 Point to Medemia: One of the best I've read by you, Too bad the song wasn't a little longer, because you didn't have enough to really work with for such a great idea, love the water line

2 Points to Rex: This actually kinda kills me, don't think by any stretch this was anything against your parody, this was just a very strong round, your entry is no exception

3 Points to Matthias: I love the Title Sub on this more than anything, a great parody to a rather difficult Bruce song that I had never heard of.

4 Points to TCOP: Even though this was short TCOP, something about this really got me laughing, I don't know, the whole 42 year old with a curfew, over the top--if this song had been a full length song like some of the other songs in this round, you could have put this up there with "This One Camp Trip" on a quality scale.

5 Points to Jeff: This one is simply a classic, even with it's minor pacing mishabs (intentional or not) it could be performed, especially by someone as crazy as you, I absolutely love this parody by you JR!

The website is almost completed Matty, the results thread can be left to rest permanently very shortly. . .upon completion of the official Artistry, and the other contest sites, there will be no need for the added work for you or I to update additional threads and take up less space on the boards as well. . .44 of the 54 completed rounds have been chronicled, as well as all Decathlon Rounds, Ages through the 6th round of the 2nd set, ABC through the current series letter B, SOTM through January 2009, POTQ through all of 2008, and all individual contests. . .it's date of completion is getting very near.
