Subject: Parody Author of the Year Results for 2008

Hopefully the days of missing Stu, Kristof, Red Ant and other countless veterans are over. . .but the competition was stiffer than ever. . .entering November there were 5 people within 2 points of the top spot, but someone who has been a tough competitor and in my honest opinion one of the most under-rated parodists on the site, took the gold this year with many podiums, a FUCA and entering 8 of 12 months. . .CONGRATULATIONS TO JEFF REUBEN ON BEING THE TOP PARODIST FOR 2008!!!!
Also Congratulations to Matthias on a Third Place finish, getting his first SOTM Podium ever, and following it up with an amazing run all the way through the very last month of the year, for his highest finish in his long SOTM history as well!
Thank you guys for making me No 2 for the year, with my first gold, and 5 FUCAS (I guess that means I'm the FUCA of the year) and a whole lot of close calls and a lot of fun. . .

That puts you up there with Spaff and Kristof as one of only three people to have won Parody Author Of The Year. I'm so jealous! :(

Wow...first, congrats to Dave and Matthias! And thank you Dave for the entire radio show and thank you everyone for the congratulations above...and for enjoying my writing. I had a lot of fun with the contest this year (despite my two brief vacations in the middle). The level of writing is amazing and I hope it continues and grows with old and new parodists coming back. I took January off for my book signings, opening for Matthias on his Amiright Idle tour, cameos for Dave on his Performer of the Year tour, my quest to get my apron back from LittleCupcakes, and my never-ending efforts to get backstage Britney passes. But I'll be back for February. Oh, a special thanks to Arwen for falling off of a treadmill!

Seriously, congrats to Jeffaroo on taking the coveted leap year title..... I'd be pressed to think of a more deserving recipient, and I'm proud to hand over the tiara to you, mate (don't worry, a bit of baking soda will get those stains off)
. Big pats on the rump...I mean, back....for Matty and Dave aka Mr and Mr Amiright, two guys that represent everything that's good about the site.
I know I said I'd be back in full force in 2009 and I've not really kept my promise. It seems Mr Writers Block has set up permanant base camp in my brain for the mo. However, watch this space....
