Note: This is NOT a parody diss. Jack Wilson is not portrayed in any negative light. In fact, Jack didn't assume it was when he read it. Here we go:

Electric Avenue (Thanks For Nothing, JACK!)

I hadn't thought about it in that way until Stuart pointed out that my parody about running was self-deprecating, Gawd knows what he's gonna say now when I'm expanding the view to take a stab at the cultural traits of my entire nation!
"Reindeer horn buyers get elk poop for free":
http://www.amiright.com/parody/2000s/greenday387.shtml
Also, this being the second Green Day OS in this round I'll take the opportunity to mention that the singer of the band once confessed in an interview to have been a bedwetter all the way up in his teens, but I don't believe that, shouldn't he have named the band "Yellow Night" if so? :P

:D
That's fun info. . .Billie-Joe Armstrong has quite a few interesting tidbits of info out there. . .but alas, Yellow Night probably would be harder to work into their style and wouldn't be very punk:)

This was posted on October 1st, so although you may have written it in September it was up on the 1st of October thus it doesn't count.

To avoid argument, you could always post a link to the appropriate month's submissions, saying "Only songs which are on this page are admissible for this SOTM" in the entry page.
I've got a real headache for September: I have four very different songs I'd quite like to enter... on tossing two coins, I'm left with:

In that case, can I enter this one instead please as it was def written in September:
'If Your PC Is So Scrappy' - parody of If You're Happy And You Know It by Traditional:
http://www.amiright.com/parody/misc/traditional1433.shtml
If I enter the above parody for this SOTM can I still enter the Gary Numan parody for October's SOTM contest please?
Thanks. Jason

This one got pretty good reception, so I'll have another go at this SOTM thingy. Wish I had some time to put some dreadlocks on Frodo for the image, but this will have to do.
