Voting deadline for ABC3(Y) is midnight (amiright time)     Wednesday June 6th
No votes date-stamped after the voting deadline will be accepted - no exceptions


Vote by replying to this thread with your five favorites in order:

1st choice........5 points
2nd place.........4 points
3rd place..........3 points
4th place..........2 points
5th place..........1 point

or in algebraic terms, p = 6 - r     (p=points, r=rank)



RULES
- Any parody beginning with the current letter is eligible, except parodies that have been entered into ABC1 or ABC2
- You're not allowed to vote for your own parody
- Once you've posted a vote, you're not allowed to change it
- Anyone who's participated in any previous ABC contest may vote
- Any entrant who hasn't left a comment on all entries is disqualified and may not participate in the next letter
- Any entrant who doesn't vote by the voting deadline (above) is disqualified and may not participate in the next letter



ALSO
Under no circumstances will a vote that missed the voting deadline be accepted (even by 1 second)
However the resulting disqualification from entry to the next ABC3 comp may be over-ruled, if you do the following...

   1.  Post an "appeal" on this thread giving your excuse for missing the deadline, and plead for mercy
   2.  If your plea wins the sympathy of 3 other entrants your disqualification from the next round will be overturned
        Your late votes will still not count though 
        (if less than 4 entrants in the comp, only 2 sympathetic "Thumbs Ups" are required)

problem 1:  we still need votes from Cat, Stu, tomario, Arwen, poo master and Mikey

well the fact that it''s still down makes the decision about what to do and how long to do it easy

extension of deadline 24 hours - to midnight Thursday June 7th

and that goes for eligiblity into the Z-comp as well

amiright is back up, but missing the last day's worth of comments

it would be good if everyone whose comments were lost could go and recomment as per the rules, but under these circumstances, there'll be no disqualifications if not all entries have comments - maybe a "commented before crash" would be a simple compromise

still not possible to comment (security codes not working) so I'll have to extend it for another 24 hours

good thing too - it's down again - I'm tipping it just lost all my just-typed comments again

it needs to be up for 24 hours before I can close the contest

I haven't been able to get on for the past couple of days...and I'm leaving town tomorrow...won't be online again until Sunday night, at the earliest.  I'm not asking for that long of an extension...I just want folks to know that I'm not choosing not to vote...I just haven't been able to.

I'll be going away for the weekend as well (not with Arwen, though) so unless the site is back up tonight, or the deadline is extended yet again, I won't be able to vote either. I have no Z entry anyways, so if I'm DQ'd for the next round that's OK.

I read elsewhere that Chucky won't have amiright back up until Saturday, so I woulnd't worry about it too much.

Just confirming that I wopn't be closing the contest until there's been at least an unbroken run of 24 hours of amiright online, so it might work out for Arwen and Mikey and others yet, if Chucky's forecast is correct.

The reason for delaying the close is that there are 6 people who've been unable to finish registering all comments, which needs to be done before voting, so it would be unfair for them to be disqualified based on circumstances outside their control.  In fact I've commented on the last 6 entries twice in the last 2 days, and all 6 comments have been lost both times, so a third lot of comments are coming up...

also, I'll be interstate until Tuesday PM Australian East Coast time (about midnight Monday, board-time) so it's unlikely I'll be able to get access to the net until after then anyway - so there's lots of time - and Arwen's in the lead anyway unless she gets disqualified for not commenting/voting, so I don't think there's a clash of interests with the late close
