Hey Jack, how about your No Federline? That'd work...I Walk The Line was released in the mid-50s.
As for me, I think I'll have a tougher time coming up with an OS than subject matter for this one. :-\\

I mean, Celebrity is very wide. . .technically. . .Charles Manson is/was a celebrity because of an infamous act, and for that matter politicians, critics, even online personalities. . .wide open field.

1. "Marilyn Manson" to the song "Love and Marriage" by Frank Sinatra
2. "Adam Sandler" to the song "Mr. Sandman" by The Chordettes
3. "The Jail Cell Of Paris" to the song, "The Yellow Rose Of Texas" by Mitch Miller
4. "Hate Ben Stiller" to the song, "Love Me Tender" by Elvis Presley
6. "Britney Spears" to the song, "Teddy Bear" by Elvis Presley
7. "Johnny Depp" to the song, "Lollipop" by The Dixie Cups
8. "Hell's J-Lo" to the song, "El Paso" by Marty Robbins

That last one could also work with 'Day-O'.
Oh, and disregard my previous post. I'll take the Adam Sandler one please. Then I'll get to work on my next parody.

As for me I'm going with a song that hasn't been done before (and annoys the hell out of me every Christmas), but thankfully enough the person I'm parodying about also annoys me every other day than Christmas.
Yup
Stay tuned for....

Well
Mine will be a tribute to one of the most controversial and well spoken singers and people of all time. He has opened the door for alternative lifestyles in many regard and been a voice for those who don't agree with the direction of the government. . .
My parody (though my song is yet to be determined) will likely be a tribute to
Billie Joe Armstrong
Lead Singer for Green Day

It was two versions of the same parody, one using her real name and the other using the name by which I usually call her. The link is to the first (real name) one ;)

Ok, I have picked my song. . .
please everyone,. . . .
I'm doing Jailhouse Rock---it took forever for me to pick a song that fit my idea. . .so doing Elvis will be a first (and likely the only time unless I do Elvis for early 50s too). . .

Sorry Matthias, today is the first day in a couple of weeks that I've been able to catch my breath at work. Most of the time lately I get home and just crash.
I had ideas for songs to use for parodies in this contest. Sixteen Tons, The Great Pretender, Wake Up Little Suzie, maybe even Witch Doctor or Purple People Eater. Several Elvis songs. Problem was, I really wasn't inspired by any celebs to write a song about them. Athough, I must say, Cat put up a really freaky picture of Michael Jackson that might scare something out of me. So, I think I'm going to have to bow out of this round, and hopefully come up with something for Ages 11, unless something happens in the next couple of hours.
I did get in my votes for Ages 9 though.

Matthias talked me into this round
It does not have a recording yet. . .
but Nimrod Rock should come up with tomorrow's parodies. . .
It will be recorded this weekend, Matthias I hope this is a good apology
