I would like to make one note on the video, the video of Like A Prayer is slightly different than the edit I used to parody. . .but it follows fairly well . . .anyway. . .just didn't wanna get docked on pacing, since the video does a repeat of the line where I go "Wind through my hair" and I go into a chorus. . .but I love the video, and like it being linked to.

Once upon a time, in the land of Amiright, there came a competition for writing the best Song Parody involving magical creatures and situations. There, upon the field of battle, the 8 competitors battled with their Wits, their Charm, and Plays of Verbiage. But, when the dust cleared, Sir Agrimorfee of Chicago saw only 5 survivors still standing. They were, in order of resulting GP:

5 GP=Lady Cat, who's retelling of the legendary ferocious monster located in the Loch Ness of Scotland sent many a chill throughout the vicinity;

4 GP=Dave of the Below Average, who's spellbinding demonstration of the black arts sent even the most hearty and hale of men into heebie-jeebies;

3 GP=Sir Matthias, the green-masked knight, regaled us with his narrative of the beauteous, pointy-eared (and pointy-chested) fair Arwen of the land of Rivendell.

2 GP=The Conqueror of Parodies set us on edge with a tale of derring do, playing both the role of Prince and the fair Damsel  in Distress with aplomb;

and last, but certainly not least, 1 GP=Sir Tomario entertained all with a poetic mixture of orcs, elves and goodness-knows-what-all in his tale of the village of Devon (oft-rumored to be the last of its kind in the world).

The majority of GP, and the overall winner of the Story Telling Competition, was still to be determined by the other participants before fortnight's end, so only Sir Matthias can bring this tale to its worthy conclusion.

After the epic war throughout Middle Earth only 5 people have remained to become rulers of this fine Kingdom, they are...

Sorry bout the delayed response . . .I know, 4 people voting in the last 24 hours on a 8 person comp has to be a record, but here goes. . .

5th place, 1 point goes to. . .
  The charming generic "Prince" by the Conqueror of Parodies. . .a charming little tale about a charming little story we've all heard a million times over.  but generic or not this one was funny.  I hope to be performing parodies by Conq in the near future, I have been requested, the problem lies in a little ownership issue due to age. . .but if I have to wait until 2009 that's what I'll do, but I'm looking for alternatives or holes. . .

4th place, 2 points go to. . .
  A hilarious and beautiful "Rivendell Girl" whose Arwenisque ways attracts all of us to it.  The only problem with this one, I felt the pacing, well, I felt it was a little off, and though I loved it, Matthias. . .you should have taken your time on this one, OH AS IF, anyway, great job as always. . .a little more time and this could have vied for the top spot.

3rd place, 3 points go to
  The terrifyingly drop dead comedious rants as we all took part in a "Slay the Dragon" tale.  Easily among the best Agimorefee Parodies I've ever read, and one that, I couldn't help but sing the whole way through.  It's hard to follow the hit song SLC, Agimore's OPP parody of the previous round as I'd rank that one among my favorites period all time, but this one sure did try.

2nd place, 4 points go to (and this is a big one)
  The amazing, stupendous upset of the round in my opinion, a huge Gem in "Devon". . .Tomario's best parody ever, point-blank-period-etc etc etc.  The song was paced much better than I'm used to, but more importantly, it was just funny, it didn't let down, and it didn't go off the theme.  I was very impressed, and I see I'm not the only one--Tomario, BRAVO!!!!!!!!!

1st place, 5 Points go to (big surprise here right?)
  Our feline's seemingly constant fear or reasons to avoid water, this is not the first time we've read parodies by Cat avoiding water, but she does it so well!!!  "Loch of Ness" is probably my second favorite parody by her ever, next to "Fillings" of course, I can't think of much to say except, this classic medieval character is not generally a 'funny' topic, but you really know how to write some terrifying, and hilarious tales there, ever applied for work with "National Enquirer?", you write much more interesting accounts of Nessie than they do.
