Smells Like Misheard Lyrics
Decent lyrics here.
One change I may humbly suggest: Try to get atleast downloaded lyrics if not hear TOS ( I know many of you know almost every song entered and do this. This is more for newer people like myself ). I am doing this for this round of SOTM so I can't go something like (SOTM) DKTOS, which is embarassing as heck when it's TWotEF ( sorry about that Guy ) and others.
Everyone puts in a good deal of effort on these and deserves more than that. All apologies for those I did last round.

Before this song, the standing number of straight fives I received without interruption on a single parody was... let's just say that this one's doing really well considering I wrote it over half an hour while waiting for my lunch break and reading Kristof's crazy "Amiright Party" advertisements. Thanks again for the motivation Kristof. I have a feeling a decent portion of this SOTM will revolve around the entries that you inspired.

Thanks for the mention, Glen...it would be great to see some Amiright Party entries in SOTM, as the party seems to have disappeared off the radar a bit. More mad campaigning coming up soon...
My entry this month is not my Campaign song, but:
Farewell Allah, Hello Buddha
Original Lyrics and Midi
Good luck, all!!!

Silver Power...if you've only written half of it, you're too late. Only songs that were posted in May are eligible. You'll be able to enter it for June SOTM, however...entries open 1st July.

I'll have to submit the parody that so far is the only one to have ever won me any medal, ever (School contest). Hopefully it is good enough to compete in a competition with more than 6 competetors, though. In any event, I present to you...

With more than 1100 parodies so far The Beatles are easily the most popular band to parody here on AmIright, though amazingly enough no parody to one of their songs has yet won a SOTM, maybe it's some sort of bringing balance to the force thingy. ???
Regardless of that I'm trying my luck with:

My May entry is "She's Sick of Me, I'm Sick of Her".
http://www.amiright.com/parody/misc/italiantraditional0.shtml
DKTOS ? Allow me to sing it for you here:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/6/rickcormier_music.htm
English Lyrics:
Some think the world is made for fun and frolic,
And so do I! (and so do I)
Some think it well to be all melancholic,
To pine and sigh (to pine and sigh)
But I, I love to spend my time in singing
Some joyous song (some joyous song)
To set the air with music bravely ringing
Is far from wrong (is far from wrong)
Listen! Listen! echoes sound afar!
Listen! Listen! echoes sound afar!
Funiculi funicula`, funiculi funicula`,
Echoes sound afar! funiculi, funicula`.
Some think it wrong to set the feet a-dancing,
But not so I (but not so I)
Some think that eyes should keep from coyly glancing
Upon the sly (upon the sly)
But oh! to me the mazy dance is charming,
Divinely sweet (divinely sweet)
And surely there is nought that is alarming
In nimble feet (in nimble feet)
Listen! Listen! music sounds afar!
Listen! Listen! music sounds afar!
Funiculi funicula`, funiculi funicula`,
Music sounds afar! funiculi, funicula`.
Ah me! 'tis strange that some should take to sighing,
And like it well (and like it well)
For me, I have not thought it worth the trying,
So cannot tell (so cannot tell)
With laugh and dance and song the day soon passes,
Full soon is gone (full soon is gone)
For mirth was made for joyous lads and lasses
To call their own (to call their own)
Listen! Listen! hark! the soft guitar!
Listen! Listen! hark! the soft guitar!
Funiculi funicula`, funiculi funicula`,
Hark! the soft guitar! funiculi funicula

OK I'm new to all this, but I'd like to take a shot at this with probably the silliest one I got...
It's "Life's Been Weird" by Joe Walsh:

Yea, this is kinda out there but I'm sure you'll have a good giggle in the name of absurdity.
Thank You!!

After a bout of depression after sacrificing 32-some votes in the name of laziness last month, I sadly could not force myself to write a parody during the month of May. However, expect me to vote during the actual...voting.
Just letting you know. :P
