Nice, the three people I voted for all placed. I get to feel like a REAL evil genius now, HAHAHA!! Congratulations Jeff, Martha and Agri. I liked everybody else's stuff too, but none of you need my assurance of that here, I'm sure ;).

Songs starting with text symbols?
Well, there could be a round of those starting with a number, I guess (cue for those "50 ways to leave your lover" parodies, I guess).. but I do have a few starting with symbols (e.g. "# Sign" and "'Postrophe"... though I don't know if "****ing Robin" would count ;)), so I'd be up for a round like that. :)

I'm all for starting again with A,B,C, etc. (all previous ABC entries being ineligible)
It could be referred to as "The ABC(2005) Comp"
and there could be a new one each year.
It's worth continuing, on an annual basis, because the ABCs and the SOTMs are the the two respected formal Competitions, but each does what the other doesn't.
The SOTMs provide a lateral spectrum across all authors, of recent contributions, restricted to a narrow time bandwidth, which keep the comp topical, relevant, and fair to newbies.
The ABCs provide a chance to re-present dusty old parodies that would otherwise be lost in time, or which the author thinks are worth another look.

I second with Stu, but let's get numbers done first. Anyone else?

I like Stu's idea. The numbers work as well. I have no problem continuing to run them if everyone's happy with me doing it :)
In the beginning, I believe Ethan (who started the contest) proposed having all the winners in one final contest (like SOTY). So we'd have 26 songs (top song for each letter only, since the initial rounds only had us voting for the top song, and only listing the top song in the winners). Do we want to do this, with a 2-week or month-long voting period (after the numbers/symbols parodies, before starting ABC-2005)?

Eh, what the hell. I seem to place better on ABC's then on SOTM.
