Subject: Christmas Parody Contest - Voting Thread
Written By: Silver Power on 12/06/04 at 4:55 pm
Tis The Season for a Christimas Parody Contest! ;D
You may vote for three people. Give your favorite a 3 next to the name of the author, your 2nd favorite a 2 next to the name of the author, and your 3rd favorite a 1 next to the name of the author. You are not allowed to vote for your own parody. Anyone caught doing so is immediatly disqualified. Voting goes from 12/26/04 to 1/3/05.
Have a great time!

Right on...
Here's one I just posted yesterday, which may be the only Christmas parody I write...since I never know when inspiration is going to hit me. I am particularly fond of it, however...so...here's my ode to Holiday shopping...

:) These parody contests are fun. I'll make a fresh parody, submit it, and maybe enter it.

Since I'm letting Grandma strut her stuff on the SOTM stage, I guess it's only fair to air Grandpa out, too:

Modified to ask:
Anyone else get "one"d on their entries in this contest, shortly after entering?  ÂÂ

Complaints of DKTOS may abound on this one, but this is my best Christmas-themed parody of the 3 I have written in 20+ years. (maybe I will post the third one later).

There was no update on the 25:th so I couldn´t (can´t) link to my entry. It should be in the next batch and if it´s still allowed to enter with it I can be in too. It´s called "Dear Santa (The Post-Christmas Song)" and I´ll come back to edit this message with a link later.

Since he added "Voting Thread" to the subject line, I just assumed we're doing it all on this thread.

*** I have a confession. The only reason I'm on amiright is to see if you only gave me bad scores because I'm me. People respect "Silver Power". Everything I've said on this profile is a lie. I'm not an adult. I'm 12. I have no kids. You give me good scores on this profile. I'm T.J. Spindler. ***
The above is from Silver Power´s now altered signature line (I´m quoting it in case he changes it again), seems that running this comp was just another gimmick to get attention from T J Spindler (which might have worked out good if he hadn´t given it away like that. *sigh*). I´ve tried to ignore his fight parodies and pranks, partly because it usually takes more than that to make me react in a negative way, (and I really don´t care that much here either, even Stephen King tried out a different alias once) and partly because he´s known to go on a 1-1-1 revenge tour agains those who tell him off, but considering that there´s also only 8 of us in this comp, and that he himself hasn´t taken charge of the voting, or even voted himself, or set a deadline for the voting, maybe we should just let the whole thing with this competition just die? There´s always SOTM of December coming up anyway...

i don't see why we can't just do this contest anyway and not have a dealine but just people vote when they can if tj is trying to mess with our heads then ending this contest would just be giving him what he wants

We could... 8 contestants means only 7 parodies to check out. Not much job. Though I got the impression from the low voting so far that interest isn´t that big. Will you do the counting votes and medalists thread if we go on?
