Jack, sounds fine to me...having run one or two of these contests I've found it helps to mention the exact date of any submission or voting deadlines.  We've got so many different ones running simultaneously and overlapping that folks get confused, especially those of us nearing or already dealing with senility.  So then this would be Friday, November 5th, right? 

That said, my entry in the "Food Parody Contest" is:  "This Fried Chicken Wasn't Fresh" based on the Crosby, Stills, Nash original song "Marrakesh Express".  Bon Apetit to all the contestants here.  There should be a lot of fun parodies to look over.  Excellent topic choice, Jack.

Jack, I guess I will go ahead and open a voting thread, too.  How does a week from tomorrow, Sunday, November 14th, 11:59 pm, ummm... Pacific Standard Time sound?  Well, I will post it on the thread and if anyone has a differing point of view they can bring it up.
