Voting's going to be during a tight week for me, but what the hey, I'll fit it in somehow:
I Hate Your Favorite Band to The Beatles' "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"

Wow, I have a lot of these. I must like parodies that start with "I". What does that say about ME! I think I must like I a lot. Strange, considering I don't even see I to I with myself. Why does ego start with an "E"? It should be Igo. Well then I think I will decide like I always do. I let Mari pick.

So um... yeah, how many times will I get to go back and promote this one, right? Here's my entry for this week, and here's hoping a bunch of you are both Billy Joel AND X-men fans.
'I Wanna Join the X-men' to 'We Didn't Start the Fire'

Given the choice between two I consider both relatively good, but neither being among my favorites, I'm choosing the one that isn't related to school because it's rare in that respect ;-).

Let's put in a lesser-known political one :)
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
by U2, same title, different-ish idea.

Since Christmas is as far away as possible (either direction), I figure it's entirely inappropriate to throw a holiday request at you: "I Want Some Plastic Surgery for Christmas."
But I will anyway. Lyrics and Robert Lund's recording are here:

Like Rick, I seem to have an inordinate number of 'I's (well, 28, anyway)... but I already made this decision when I decided to use "Fridge Odour Troubled Walter", as I'm going with the sequel:
I Can't Find The Freezer Anymore

Another of my parodies that I thought was very good but it got vote-raped by 1-guy Yankee fans, maybe you guys can help it out: http://www.amiright.com/parody/80s/eltonjohn13.shtml

Though I have a soft spot in my heart for my "I Feel Passion (of the Christ)", it's a bit dated, and there aren't too many musical theater geeks here, so I'll risk partisan acrimony and go with my Bush-bashing opus: "If Bush Only Had A Brain/The Nerve/A Heart"

Request: when we do the final list, can we list the parody name and author next to the link, so it's easier to identify which ones we've already read without having to keep clicking the links to check? (Or am I the only one who loses track and keeps clicking on the same links multiple times over the course of many days of reading?) :-\\

.. this one was inspired by the amazing history of the California Gold Rush and the fabulous Eagles song "Life in the fast lane"......if you don't know the original give it a listen...it really rocks .. especially when it is recorded live.....

I agree with Leo Jay: Names and titles pleeeeease!
As with many others, I have all my good parodies starting with 'I'. 'I wrote a song that will get me no fives' completely rocks and my Delta Goodrem one is whimsical *fictional* humour, but for the amount of effort I put into this one, it is my chosen 'I':
Eminem's "Cleanin' Out My Closet"
"I'm Pleadin': Jot A Comment". http://www.amiright.com/parody/2000s/eminem151.shtml
