I felt that old parody writing itch a bit over the weekend, scratched it and wrote one.

I haven't posted it yet. I'm gonna sit on it for the last Friday of the month, i.e June 28th.

Last Friday of the month was a good day too use when reunions were still a thing.

It's been getting reallllly hard to get the impulse to write as of late. I posted in the FB parody group to get some ideas for Billie Eilish songs, but I havent done anything. Not a block, just lack of desire.  :-[  I blame it on the geo-socio-political situation.

combination I think,  block  kind of wanting to do one on video but want a friend to do it with,  Not having a job or muck of a live and other things going on right now.  My latest thought on a video is to just do Bathroom.  Little kids will think going to the bathroom and us older folks will know how bad things use to be.

Yeah, I've had some long breaks myself, they definitely felt necessary at the time, not even the OWNs could totally counter the need for those, though for a while there in the beginning I almost thought so.

Some years back I had been off for several months when I realized I was close to 500 parodies, and came up with an open-ended idea for a long parody that I could let work in the back of my mind, about everyday objects (the initial idea), dotting down lines every now and then as they came to me, just to keep that part of the brain active and away from atrophy.

I'm telling you this because I just noticed that you have stopped at 990. You could start a similar project in the back of your mind for your 1000th, that way you can still have fun writing, even if it's just two lines a day (or week), even if you won't post it on Amiright until waaaay in the future.

I've changed my mind on wanting to record Bathroom.  I have done some magic tricks  in the past and have wanted to redo that maybe while singing my parody.

I've been holding out on posting, waiting for the July 25 update, but it seems one such ain't coming and I can wait no longer.
