Welcome to the One Week Notice Challenge!  The rules are very simple:  we all release a parody of the same song on the same day.  It’s really not any more complicated than that.  So if you want to participate, the day to submit your parody is Thursday, Nov. 30th so that it will appear on AmiRight on Friday, Dec. 1st.    The song this week is by Mr. Frank Sinatra, a dead guy who’s been parodied over seven hundred times on the site, but not a single one has been of this little number, which peaked at #41 on the Billboard pop charts way back in 1958. It’s a good song.  Swanky, with lots of easy rhymin’, just the way I like ‘em.

That’s it — no voting, it’s not a competition.  No commenting requirement, though for me part of the fun is to see what everyone else came up with and talk about it.  So it basically turns into a little lovefest every week, which is great.  No guarantees, but it’s a pretty good way to make sure at least a few people will read and most likely comment on a parody.  Just saying.  And if you’re wondering who gets to pick the songs, the answer is we take turns hosting.  If you’re interested in doing that, or just learning more, then this thread is the place to go.  Thanks, and have fun!

"Done with the press" is the first thing that comes to mind for me - and I've done parodies before where I kinda ranted about the MSM so it's right up my alley - that'll be my starting point for sure.

As for my own idea above I'm just now kicking myself for not seeing the obvious "I'm done with the pres(ident)". Titlewise it's really close, but it would have been a different parody.

The worrying man - hurrying man part was the hardest I think - but I've solved for it.

Late brainstorming here, but "(I) miss getting dressed" (as in messing clothes up, possibly in the dark) would be another idea.

Well that certainly wasn’t the intention but I’ll consider it a nice bonus if it happens — personally I’m finding it difficult to think of any ideas other than “Mr. (something)” — and they often don’t rhyme with “success” at all (“Mr. Small Hands” was a thought).  Still not sure what I’m doing though— not stuck, just really been busy.
