Subject: Nightmare Before Holidays...
Written By: Matthias on 03/10/13 at 5:31 pm
So I originally had the idea to do a bunch of Reel Big Fish songs to Holiday tunes (since I released "Valentines Sucks" back in the day and was proud of it) but instead I think a better use of my parody writing skills would be to parody all of the songs in "Nightmare Before Christmas" but instead of making them about either Halloween OR Christmas I would do other Holidays such as Thanksgiving, Mardi Gras, Earth Day, Saint Patrick's Day, New Years Eve or anything along those lines. I released "Lucky Leprechaun" today and "This Is Thanksgiving" for the Marylin Manson round so I'm making some pretty decent headway on this project. Anybody willing to support me or join in with their own tunes is always appreciated!
Tunes
1. Opening (Voice by Patrick Stewart)
2. This Is Halloween: (Matthias)- "This Is Thanksgiving"
3. Jack's Lament
4. What's This?: (Matthias)- "I'm Pissed (April Fool's Day)
5. Town Meeting Song
6. Jack's Obsession: (Matthias)- "Jews Salvation"
7. Kidnap The Sandy Claws
8. Making Christmas
9. Oogie Boogie's Song: (Matthias)- "Lucky Leprechaun"
10. Sally's Song
11. Poor Jack
12. Finale/ Reprise
13. Closing (Voiced by Patrick Stewart)

You could always do Easter from the Pharisee's point of view with "Crucify Jesus Christ" to "Kidnap The Sandy Claws", though that may be in poor taste.
And "Making Christmas" could easily be "Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, now you're old!"
I'd write them myself, but I'm still busy with my United State of Pop, but I'm always happy to be an ideas man.
