Subject: Parodying foreign language songs
Written By: DJ Blaze on 04/02/10 at 7:16 pm
It is NOT impossible. I've parodied several songs that were originally in Japanese, with the parody lyrics in English, of course. Has anyone else tried this before? If not, it would be interesting, seeing as it's rather challenging. I'll get some links up to my parodies of Japanese songs soon.

^ Didn't have lyrics for this one, I had to go by lyrical flow.

^ Admittedly, this one is not from a Japanese show, but most of the song is in Japanese.

Something like this? (Though I notice at some point it's been through a filter that's screwed the high-bit characters..)

Actually, I mean parodying songs that are originally in foreign languages, with the parody lyrics in English.

My one attempt in this style was more in the "misheard lyric" mode of parody writing, which I typically don't do.

In that case, this one will be about half-way there :)

I did the German version of Rock Me Amadeus for Rob Me I'm A Tourist...that's the extent of it for me.
