Subject: New Parody by a New Contributor
Written By: Wolverine on 03/09/07 at 4:55 pm
After finding this board, I decided to submit one of my works for the amiright/inthe00s community.
Here Comes the Bartender. http://www.amiright.com/parody/90s/inikamoze0.shtml
I haven't read everything on the site, but I am a little curious. Did anyone discover definitively what gender Merry and Pippin were? Or am I dredging up bitter memories better left unsaid?

Merry and Pippin? It's a guy and girl duo. They posted pictures somewhere on this board.
I think that Merry's the girl and Pippin's the guy, but for all I know I could be very wrong. (Cats aren't exactly known for their memories...)

Thanks for the reply Cat. I've been clued in. I had just been going through older parodies by some of the long-standing members.

Have you checked in the Song Parody Contests Yet?
Winning is not likely early on, but entering them or just hanging out is a good way to get aquainted too. . .and it's a GREAT way to get both positive and honest feedback on your work. Some of my best comments have come in those boards. . .welcome to the club Wolverine.

Thanks David, and yes I have. Though I'm too late to enter and vote, I gotta say I'd be torn between Kristof's African Child, and Stuart's Guilty Teeth Have Frog Legs Bitten.
I also submitted 3 more songs to Chucky, the best 3 out of the ones I've written. The others, either just aren't quite good enough, or are probably too tied in to my workplace (which is where I am given requests or am otherwise inspired) to be of value here.

Never judge your work too harshly, if you don't post them you can't get advice on how to improve them. . .Believe me, my worst and my best are on here with all the mistakes I've made, I record all of mine--so it shows as I progress in that matter too. Sometimes the ones you think the lowest of, someone else will find to be amazing or among your best. Pizza Night is one such example for me, it was one of the simplist parodies I wrote, and yet it is one of the most downloaded ones I've recorded. . .and with each comment I get positive or negative, my next one improves. . .Sorry you missed the entry date on the Feb SOTM--don't miss March, and If you have a "T" parody, you aren't to late to enter it yet, you have three days. . .any parody which begins with the letter "T", the word "The" excluded is elligible for the ABC3 competition letter T, which is accepting entries, "U" begins later this week too. . .it's not quite the SOTM, but it's a good starting point to get a lot of opinions.

Oh, I don't think I'd ever torture anyone with my singing. Even shower mold cringes when I launch a song. I'll stick to being an occasional writer in the background.

Sauce all the Weak Guys Want http://www.amiright.com/parody/2000s/bowlingforsoup102.shtml
None of these qualify for ABC. I'll see if I can come up with something in the next day or two. I thought of two possibilities early this morning, but neither of which is a T or U song. So, back to the ol' drawing board.

So You, Merry, always fancied Merry, you, as a guy... So... You're a guy who's in love with yourself... LIKE ME! YAY!
Or... You, always fancied Merry AS A GUY... meaning...Merry HAS to be a guy, therefore, You, MERRY, cannot be a girl cause Merry is fancied as a guy.
OR... You always fancied Merry AS A GUY... AS A GUY... Why would you say that, we all know Merry is a guy, so AS A GUY, you mean YOU are the guy, so, YOU, as a guy, fancied Merry. Like how I, as a guy, fancy Jim Carrey... I like it
