Do you guys and gals from all over the world have the Octoberfest tradition where you live, or is that just a north-european thing?

If you’re not familiar with it, let me break it down to you in just a few lines; it’s about drinking beer, a tradition that makes or claims that October is THE month for drinking beer, hence we drink even more than usual when we go out this month.

(OK, so it probably started out once in a distant past when a bunch of guys who had been spending most of that years warm summer nights with cold beers in their hands needed an excuse to continue doing that when the summer faded away, but lets ignore that for now). :-)

So, with a half full bottle of inspiration here beside me I’m suggesting that for the rest of this month we have our own Ode-to-beer-fest here on AmIright.

I suggest that links to parodies (new and old) about beer can be posted as replies on this thread.

Surprisingly enough I myself don’t have anything old on that subject but I’ve now written and submitted "Raise your beers" to Bon Jovi’s "Raise your hands" and I’ll come back to this post and link to it once it’s up.
