When I Google "Johnny D", I show up on the first page of results, but Johnny Depp shows up before me:

I show up on page 3 or so behind a bunch of sites on how to eliminate fire ants and the like.

If I Google "Author Red Ant" then I'm on page 1.

I am myself, which is one of the reasons I use this name almost exclusively...Google cites the message boards I hang/hung out at, aimiright,  and my music page.

It will be fascinating and hopefully gratifying when (and if) a citation comes up that isn't one of those sources.

Nowhere on the first 20 pages.

When I search for "Merry & Pippen" I find lots of stuff about something called "Lord of the Rings".  ???

I mean, what's up with all that?  ::)

#1 on mine is "2NZ - The Animation Co."

#2 is "2NZ - The Media Shoppe"

#3 is my author's page.

I remember doing this and not seeing anything related to me as an author until #40-something. I'm movin' on up.

This is an example of what happens when one is trying to think at midnight after a long hard week at work!  One doesn't even know how to spell one's own website  :-1  :D for the personal site; and

The bottom of Page 1 for the Amiright site

That's pretty trendy  :P :P :P

There are quite a few "Phil Alexander"s around, but last time I tried the top Google hit was my amiright page, and the number 2 was my soundclick page... beating Kerrang's editor out of sight ;)

Emiloca, I tried your personal site and there's something really wrong with it. The letters are all garbled and hard to read. It's like in some alien language or something.

The wonderful thing about being Rex Ungericht is, I'm the only one! I will now pause while everyone says "thank goodness!". Four+ Google pages of almost all me, except for a few entries where "Rex" and "Ungericht" appear separately.

Gee, what am I, 3 or more weeks behind the last post here?  Well, been busy...I USED to be around 90th or so under "Paul Robinson"...seems there are a lot of them around all over the place...including a rather well-known musician who has played with numerous well-known, well-regarded artists..and, of course, a big-time Soccer player...and lots and lots of scientist-types...etc., THEN I got into a series of verbal tussles here with some strange woman who wrote parodies that came from the extreme far-outer reaches of the "Right-Wing Bizarro Universe" and then next thing I knew I was number 19 of the Paul Robinson's...down to 21st when I checked it a couple days ago...lol...shoot, I shoulda kept that inane feud going a bit longer...mighta reached the top...Naw, I couldn't have handled the price of that fame much longer without risking commitment...

While I do come up first, there is another Robert J. Pagliaro who - believe it or not - is an atheist and is involved with protestes relative to that cause.  Thought that this was almost eerily interesting,

protestes relative to that cause

That is a great typo, RJP (if it is indeed a typo). I consider myself very much protestes. At least if we're talking about my own.

Reminds me of this exchange from my junior high days:

Teacher: What I'm passing around now is one of my quizzies.
Student: You call this a "quizzie"? This is huge!
Teacher: Hey, if you think my quizzies are big, wait till you see my testies.

But back to Google. I LOVE navel-gazing on Google. One of my current favorite searches is "Pepsi Blue." Pepsico spent tens of millions of dollars marketing that stuff, and my parody called "Pepsi Blue" (which I spent zero to market) is one of the top search results.

I couldn't be happier.

As Old Comedywriter, I'm all over the place.  With my real name (that I use for writing parodies, even though I haven't written one in 18 months) I'm the top 4, with Amiright as #4.  Include my middle initial, and Amiright is the top 2.  Include my middle name, and my bad screenwriting efforts are the top 2, and this board is #4.

My websites are also the top two results for "loose nymphets" even though they have NO porn at all!

Love that story.

I try not to google myself too often; I hear you could go blind.  But I did find out recently that some kid at the University of Alberta had to resign from Student Council last year after a sexual harrassment complaint caused by some deeply offensive, disturbing lyrics he found on the internet and posted on his personal blog:

My Amiright Author Page comes up as the second and third links on the first page of results.  My parody "Skilling Proved Costly To Enron" from my Boot Newt Sing Along Page (the old Tripod address) shows up on the second page of Google results.  Links to a few of the messageboard rants against my work from a few years ago also show up. ;)

Looks like he resigned because he thought it was about something else.  It's pretty bad that the PC police exist even in Canada.

A little googling on the whole thing, and it looks like he discussed the school board on his blog, and linked to it from his official profile.  So it really wasn't a "personal blog" since he was using it with his position duties.  Too easy a target.

HOLY CRAP. If I wasn't already totally in awe of Claude's parody powers, I am now. Totally. In. Awe.

For those to lazy to follow the links, here's what apparently happened:

~~A Student's Union arts councilor (whatever that is) at the University of Alberta (whatever that is) discovers Claude's parody "Chloroform" (to Paul Simon's "Kodachrome"): http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/paulsimon14.shtml

~~He finds it hilarious, of course, and posts the lyrics on his blog.

~~His profile on the Student's Union website happens to include a link to his blog.

~~An undergrad at the school files a "human rights complaint" (whatever that is) accusing him of sexual harassment BECAUSE OF CLAUDE'S PARODY.

~~Her words:

I thought so too, but it happened last year... I also feel kinda sorry for the Chuck who lost his student gov. position due to the humor impaired in his school system.  No need to rub it in his face or anything.
